IVF Success On The First Cycle?

It depends on so many things such as your age, past pregnancies, how you respond to treatment, your egg and embryo quality, and the success of you clinic. If you are young or have been pregnant your odds of conceiving the first try are higher but if you are older or have never been pregnant your odds are lower. Know that lots of women do have success on the first try but for some like me it can take longer and for some they never succeed. I started IVF when I was 37 and have done 4 cycles. I fell pregnant once but later miscarried. The whole process is, physically, not to bad, but it can be an emotional roller coaster especially if you fail cycles. Some women have difficulty on the meds but I did not. I was just really tired. The injections seem horrifying but they are really not. That was the scariest part for me but now I'm an old pro. I do have frozen embryos and will be doing a frozen embryo transfer when I am ready.
