Just Politics or Something else?

The people that rant and insult on Y/A. Do you think it is just politics? Or do you think it's a character flaw that follows them in to their personal lives as well? Have you ever wondered?

T-man. lol. Passive. My husband would be amused.

It was a general question about ranting and insults. I was not an invitation for Democrats and Republicans to rag on each other. The people that figured that out all on their own, thank you.

Facts enrage dembots. I believed I was right, if I'm not then I will own up to it. But, you will also have to admit that I didn't rant or insult you when I answered your question. That is the character flaw that I am talking about. Your name say it all.

Sorry, says it all.

Frequently people give impulsive replies because they are only representing their sides and receive a greater response from it. If you notice, thoughtful replies are not considered as best answer and "Top Contributor" status is just an indication that they are Far-Left or Far-Right and so frequently selected as best answer by their own. If you know of a place for thoughtful discourse, let me know.

It's true. People come here to release their true personalities. Often, a senseless rant in person that's demeaning and insulting would end up with the 'Ranter' having to pick himself up off the floor over a period of about 10 minutes. But here, people are anonymous and can release their character flaws. I should point out here that the majority of insults, stereotype labeling, and name calling is carried out by the Left leaning of the Y/A population. Just an observation.

I dont know. I LOVE this section because I have a huge curiousity about what people are really thinking. That is also why i love twitter. I just think for some it is a curiosity type thing and a source of entertainment. Kind of like a debate team.

Yes, a character flaw... like someone stating obama did or did not say something based solely on emotion, rather than fact...
Case in point...

a user said "The President never said your bill would skyrocket."
However, he did...

For some reason, some folks are flawed in their unexplainable hero worship, to the point of ignoring facts, or actually researching an answer...
Sad, huh?

Was not my question :)

Yes, my name is accurate... thanks.

I think it's easier to say something online one would never say in person. Having said that, I'm surprised that YA even allows the kind of insults I've read. People can be quite nasty. (I think it is both political and personality)
