I am about to be in college and i am not on birth control. My friend and i were talking and she very strongly suggested i need to be on birth control before i start college. But the thing is i don't want to have sex, yet. I haven't had a serious relationship and i don't want to just have one night stands.
what do you think?

No need to use birth control pills regularly, as u r planning not to have sex, if it happens u still have a choice "emergency contraception", then u can start using regular contraceptives if u need to continue having fun.

If you don't want to have sex, then by all means don't! Don't do it until you are ready, and wait until there's a guy you're comfortable with. Birth control can be great, and not just for the obvious reason. I started Yaz about a year ago for some really terrible cramps, and I feel a ton better now.

Birth Control has benefits outside of stopping pregnancy...
I love just being able to know right when my period will be here and for how many days.. and it makes your period a lot lighter :) which is really benefical to many women.. ..
just because your on Birth Control doesn't mean that you HAVE to have sex either...

Wait until you're ready to have sex (well, not at the last second, but if you either get into a serious relationship or change your mind about casual sex).
