Do You hate mexican music?

I do!!! I'm a first generation American born to mexican parents and I must say that I hate mexican music!!

Its stupid with no rhythm and lyrics are all based on misery and suffering and dying. No lie!! I can't stand it. Its horrible!! I hate the Accordion and I hate marriachi music. I hate that stupid cry that the marriachi makes!!!

The reason I post this question is because my dad is bumping that stupid music right now.

Hello,

No though some types of Mexican music I like better than others. The only music I cannot stand is American nasal yodelling country and western crying about tears in my beer and queers in my rear!
Each to their own I suppose.

Cheers,

Yes and no. Some mexican music i HATE. Like mariachi. But other Mexican music I think is the absolute SH!T. You just need to find the right kind. There are a lot of Mexican bands that play Latin guitar very well. Think of the soundtrack to the movie 'Deperados' or once Upon a Time In Mexico.

Some latin hip-hop is cool too. Check out Molotov or Ozomatli.

I live in Phoenix, in the hood.
A year ago, I lived in the hpood outside of D.C.
I can tell you that it is sooooo much better to hear my neighbors bumping Mexican folk ( I cant tell the differecne between Norteno, Campesina or Cumbias) Than gangster rap.
Everyone likes their folk music, because it is traditional, and in this day and age it is very important for people to feel like they can identify with their cultural traditions.
All good music is about pain and suffering.

you're ignorant. That's not the only Mexican type of music out there. There is the ranchera, banda, nortena, cumbias, mariachi, rock, etc. So you sound pretty racist by saying "mexican" music in your question. How bout just saying "mariachi" music and not "mexican" music, because you are totally stereotyping! That's like saying "i hate white people music, all they listen to is country" even though i know white people listen to a variety of music like different types of rock, country, metal, etc....

lol. I always hear it when my car stops next to Mexican lawn mowers. Sometimes the beat is catchy. But a lot of Mexican music sound the same. Same beats, same instruments.. Then about a minute into it someone screams or makes some noise lol.
