Im not a animal rights activist, but I do know that if I was sent to prison I wouldnt be able to get a good job. The NFL is a role model to kids, not a thug show. He had his chance and blew it. Now give somebody else a chance to live thier dreams.

How many people would boycott NFL?
NONE the same amount that boycotted when Lawrence Phillips killed a lady, while driving drunk. Vick did his jail time know let him earn a living with out judging him.

I would not boycott the NFL if Vick came back. In all honest i would mind him coming back because I enjoyed watching him play at his best and his worst.
In all honest guys have done alot worse than Vick did! DE of the Rams Little hit a woman while he was drunk driving. Pacman Jones hasnt gotten caught for anything but we all know he is doing illegal stuff. Tank Johnson has a million illegal guns and is at the night club when his body guard got shot to death (let me guess this guy is a saint and is not doing illegal stuff). The list goes on and on......
The NFL has players that are role models and thugs. Everyone needs to realize this. As parents you need to teach your kids what is good and bad and explain why and hell you can use the NFL as examples. The NFL isnt the only sport that has thugs look at the NBA.
To steve: Maybe you should open up your eyes to the issue of Vick. First off your telling a guy to go F**K a dog. Last time I checked that is really legal (sarcastic). But really I would be on the same side of the issue as you except Vick didnt just shot the dogs to kill them he freaking torture them. He drown them, electrocuted, and strangled them. He enjoyed doing this, he wasnt just in it for the business. Secondly if you know anything about psychology you would know that animal abuse leads to other types of abuse.
Im not saying Vick abused his wife, children, or former girlfriends but I wouldnt be surprised if he did because animal abuse is the "gateway drug" so to speak of other types of abuse and if you look at any serial killer they have a history of animal abuse. Im not saying that Vick is the next serial killer BUT if he can abuse animals like that he has some mental problems and maybe should get check before he is reinstated to the NFL.

I completely agree with what you're saying and answered a Vick topic yesterday with the same reasoning. Any normal human being would have to work a construction job at $10 an hour for real... not some little hoax that Vick had to do for a few months.
Why pay this guy 100's of thousands of dollars when he's a convicted felon?
And to the guy who said they're just dogs... how bout you try finding your soul? Clearly you're a troubled individual if you think the torture and killing of dogs is an ok thing to do...

I wouldn't boycott the NFL. I believe most fans wouldn't boycott. I don't know if he deserves a lifetime ban. Although I think his suspension needs to continue through this season and maybe 2010 as well. He was just released from federal custody, so he couldn't have played anyway. If he were reinstated now, it would be like no punishment at all. He needs to prove that he has rehabilitated himself before again having the privilege of playing in the NFL.

Most people wouldn't boycott because true football fans enjoyed watching Vick play and can't wait for him to come back. He did his time and plus in the south people dog fight all the time, its something they grow up with. Just like drug dealers in New York, they're raised to think that is the way to go. And i guess dog fighting in the south is entertaining to them (i dont think it's right though) that's just how they were raised.
Personally i can wait for Vick to get signed. No team should care about what he did in the past because he paid his dues and proved he's ready to continue with his career. Whether he's still got his arm is questionable. But other then that I'd get him.
I mean Stallworth killed a guy...while drunk driving...you cant be raised on that
