Christians believe we are desended from Adam & Eve, Gods creations. What do athiests believe?
Being serious here, as I'm a Christian and just trying to understand athiests beliefs.

I am an Atheist, & I have no idea, so I guess that makes me agnostic. Evolution is only part of the theory as to how we came to be here. What no-one has really learned about, abiogenisis is a sketchy theory at best. Nobody knows, that is the bottom line. Some believe they know. Some know they believe.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I believe we, as a species, descended from other species over millions of years of evolution by natural selection. And if you go back far enough you'll find the common ancestor of us, apes, monkeys, lemurs and other primates, whose ancestor species "branched off", many times, over those millions of years. And if you go back 3 or 4 billion or so years, you might find the ancestor species that gave rise to all other species that live, or have lived and become extinct.
Atheism is not a religion and has no beliefs whatsoever except that there is no god. So every atheist will give a different answer, though I'm sure 100% will mention abiogenesis and evolution.
Well, athiests believe that humans are descendant of the mighty FSM, creator of all Gods, including yours, hence christians should bow before all athiests !!!!
Atheists, however, just don't believe in the existent of any supreme creature, FSM or your god alike. There are no one common doctrine.
Notice, there is a great difference between the belief of atheists (e before i) and athiests (i before e). Of course, I had never personally encounter an athiest, these are all hearsay. I am just an atheist.
