Broken Arcade Machine – I need help figuring out what it is wrong.?

I just got a broken full sized arcade called Solar Assault. They guy I got it from said for a while he had to turn it on and off until it would cycle on. Now it doesn’t come on at all. When you turn on the power, the fan comes on, an led numerical pad on the board comes on and reads 88, and the bill changer cycles. Does anyone know how to repair it or where I could find a repair manual? Thanks.

I have the one peice. I left it turned off, but pluged in for about an hour while I read more about it. I came back looking for a video card and had a hot light inside it. after I could not find the card, I truned it on and it is working. I'm not sure what will happen if I turn it off as I don't want to just yet. also, the 88 on the board is off and light is running around it in a circle now. It might be back to the way the guy had it with it comming on after several cycles. I would still like to fix it if I can.

Start smart check all fuses. the bill acceptor cycling is a good sign as is the fan coming on. Every time a game is moved it has potential for damage to occur. With the game unplugged for an half hour or more (this allows stored electricity to discharge) check for loose connections in the wiring.

Do you have the 2 part model or the one part model?
1 part, has the monitor a part of the cabinet.
2 part, the monitor is like a large screen projection tv in front of the sitin control cabinet.

Good for you, I suspect that its a projection screen and the bulb might have a loose connection or may be going out.
