Health care for the uninsured?
Are you willing to pay a little more in taxes to offset the cost of coverage for the uninsured? If not is it because of the cost or because you don't believe that it should be your responsibility

Republican arithmetic can prove to you that it is cheaper to have lots of sick Americans .... and to have them go to Emergency Rooms (which the taxpayers wind up subsidizing...and then the hospital rates go up...and then the insurance premiums go up) when they are very, very sick with something that is very, very expensive to take care of...but would have been prevented by check-ups.....
Republican arithmetic can prove to you that it is perfectly OK to educate people for free...and provide all sorts of services for free...but there is no advantage to having more healthy people out working and contributing.... better just to put them all of Disability and pay for illness....
Republican arithmetic is a very, very interesting thing....they learn it from "voices in their heads"....

If I made over $250.000 per year i would not mind at all paying a bit more...
We are paying right now for people that have to go to the ER because the don't have health care. I think everyone should be covered, and no pre-existing clauses, no denials if you get really sick, and lastly, the Ins companies can't turn you down because you have health issues!

The emergency room is the reason they want this health bill. I really don't like the part about end of life. Apparently they are taking it out of the bill but that really scares me. First the banks, auto dealers, and now health care. Politics aside, I am very worried.

It is not my responsibility, number one. Number two: Show me where in the American Constitution that health care is a guaranteed right. Three: There is free health care: it is called an Emergency Room.
