Changing my Facebook relationship status deletes fiancee's relationship status and vice versa?

Question

My boyfriend and I recently got engaged and attempted to change our relationship statuses on Facebook.

The problem is that when he requests me, his relationship status changes to engaged to me but my relationship status disappears and is deleted completely. This is also happening when I request him too but my relationship status changes and his gets deleted.

Is anyone else having this problem? I've submitted a bug report but haven't heard anything back yet.

THE SAME THING is happening to me right now! I can't even find the link for a bug report or any facebook support contact information.

If his facebook has been upgraded to the new "timeline" this may have caused the problem. If you cannot see is "relationship" status it's because it's under his "info" and that may have changed the permissions settings. like you said don't base your relationship on FB.

It's happening to me now too! It's so irritating. Anybody found the answer yet? Is there a way we can contact Facebook or something about this?
