I started being molested at 5 or younger.. I can only remember being 5 though, the person had molested me before school and ripped me up pretty bad and i just remember having to go to the bathroom at school and it burning so bad when the pee dribbled down my vagina.

It is very traumatizing, i was in the situation for 18 years of my life, i think about my attacker every day... the nightmares aren't happening as much as they were but i still have them, being terrified to walk outside of your house and always looking over your shoulder... not being able to date people because you cant trust anyone. it rly sucks.'
I have had a lot of counseling but it is going to take many years to be fully recovered, since i was pretty much brainwashed my entire life, even though i knew what was happening was bad i was just too scared.

Post traumatic stress disorder is a common result. It may take years to fuly develop.

There is no cure.

The child is severely emotionally damaged, the ability to fully trust and love another human being is virtually impossible without long and sustained treatment.

Low self-worth and low self-esteem are common manifestations, self-hate creeps in and causes traits of borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorders. Anger fairly emanates from the individual.

If parents do not validate the youngsters experience, if the child is forced to hide it, and keep secrets about it, the long term damage is insurmountable alone.

Counselors are extremely limited if they have not been through it themselves

I am 50 years old and still have trust issues. I have learned to laugh again, recently.
