Blueberry consumption = Constipation?

Recently I started consuming blueberries. In the course of a day I would add a small container of them throughout the day to my protein shakes. There was about a week lag from consumption to when I started experiencing severe pain in the bathroom due to constipation.

I have narrowed it down to the blueberries b/c my gf was also consuming the blueberry protein shakes with me after the gym and she had the same issue.

I find it rather surprising there is absolutely nothing on the internet suggesting that blueberries can cause this issue. As a matter of fact, the converse is often shown on websites, suggesting that blueberries can help with constipation.

Can someone please advise?

Blueberries are full of fiber and help reduce constipation.

The fact that you and your GF are experiencing constipation a week after consuming blueberry shakes is not related. Start comparing notes on other factors such as dehydration, which is the most likely cause. Especially if you drank the shake instead of water. You need to drink the water, also.
