Anyone know of a GREAT BYOB in phildelphia.?

My BF lives in philadelphia and his birthday is coming up in a few weeks. I have already gotten him Flyers tickets because he has never been to a game and want to give them to him over dinner. Any kind of BYOB is fine, and the more suggestions the better. We love Italian, Mexican and Sushi. I just want to make sure it is romantic and close to all the action so we can grab drinks afterwards :)

There are so many to choose from anymore that you're almost better just picking an area and starting to look from there. For example, someone mentioned Modo Mio (which IS awesome, btw). It's on Girard near 2nd Street in Northern Liberties, which is just up the street from the Piazza and 2nd Street itself. This area is packed with bars and BYOs that you could find simply by walking a few blocks.

Bar Ferdinand is a Spanish tapas (<--7-8 small plates for dinner as opposed to 2 or 3 bigger ones or courses) style restaurant, but with a bar.

Sonata has been getting HUGE praise lately.

El Camino Real is a great Tex-Mex kind of place (also a bar).

Try checking out Foobooz.com and see what you like. I'd recommend searching by neighborhood, and then reading on from there.
