Old thumb injury, will the lump go away?

Hey
Just over 2 years ago, I had an incident whilst chopping vegetables. I sliced through about a third of the tip of my thumb.
Anyway it got no stitches, just strips, but now I have this lump where that bit is just up a bit, I'm guessing due to the scarring.
Anyway, I was wondering if there was any way to get rid of/decrease the size of it.

If you need any more details I'll try and explain.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

There is a scar there, and I have considered Bio Oil, and I know it works. My dad was in a bike crash last year (ie crashed into the back of a woman who stopped on the side of the motorway and went through her back windscreen) and his face was a mess, and Bio Oil fixed it right up.

I do wonder, though, if it would work deep enough? I think it is scar tissue etc that is causing it, but don't know how well Bio Oil would work on that.

I'll try it though, thanks.

If it's a scar try bio oil! I had a 3rd degree burn on my leg, and the scar is pratically gone now, I use it on everything, dry skin, dry lips etc.

Add: I think it could help, even if it doesn't there's so many uses for it, I even use it on my hair.
