Ears still ringing 4 days after loud exposure?

I was exposed to a loud sound for a few minutes (chainsaw cutting metal) on Tuesday and my ears are still ringing a bit. I never ran a chain saw before so like an idiot I didn’t use ear protection. Did I cause permanent damage or is it most likely temporary? Thank you!

The ringing should go away, but you've likely caused permanent damage to your hearing. Which means your hearing won't be as a good. Ears and hearing are more senstive than we think, it doesn't take much to damage them.

Could be either. That it has lasted several days already makes it more likely to be permanent damage.

This should settle down you have upset the fine hairs in the inner ear. Give it another week or so, it should stop.

4 days later sounds like damage to the ears, usually it should subside after 24 hrs, u could let it recover by not using earphones and staying away from loud noises. see an emt if it doesn't go away in a week.

Troll harder not weaker. You can't cut metal with a chainsaw.
