Do married men NEED to travel with out the wife once in a while? For example, VEgas trips with the guys (married buddies and single) or anywhere out of state. Is it really necessary for your well being or is it just to get away from the wife/kids? What do you think is fair in terms of frequent trips (i.e. per year). Or is there some underlying issue that makes you want to "get away" all the time (for those who do travel often without your spouse). And lets be honest here..please..looking for true honest answers. What would consider reasonable traveling for married couple , with out eachother. Of course, considering that there is trust and no major issues in the relationship.

I think both people should be able to have time without their partner to be with friends. My husband goes away with his mates every now and again..If he hasn't done it for a while I'll even suggest it.
Your wondering if men just want to get away from their wife and kids for a weekend? Of course every now and again they do! Its not personal, You can't spend every day of your life with the one person and not want to rejuvenate with some breathing space..Its not healthy to never be apart.
Once a year is not frequent. One weekend a year without him isn't going to kill you. Why don't you have a girls night when he gets back?
Compromise this is only a big deal if you make it one.
My husband will do this once a year or every other year. I had a 4 day girl's trip to Vegas in Aug and it was fun. It's nice to get away from responsibility and have your spouse take over the reins for a few days to give you a break. More than twice a year would be too much in my opinion. I also go dancing with a girl friend every Fri night and sometimes go out for appetizers and a drink, just to have some "Me" time.
I asked my husband, he said if we had the money for him to take trips to Vegas with a friend (a really good friend, not just whoever) and they were going for something, like to see a big UFC fight or something then we would also have the money for me to go fly down to Florida and spend a week with a girlfriend and stay in a really nice place and go to a spa or whatever, so that would be fine. He said, if your guy is just leaving to leave and saying he just likes to go out with the guys there is a problem. If you are getting out of town and doing whatever you want too then that's cool.
i dont think married men need to go on vegas trips without the wife, especially if you have kids,a night out at the bar with the boys is far enough.or a day trip to the woods hunting or fishing is enough,i been married 17 years
I think both men and women should get away from the pressures of home life once in a while. I don't know that you should place a number on it, but I think it is important in order to rejuvenate one's batteries.
In fact, in a perfect world I would like it if my mate would be the one who would bring it up based upon the changes she would see in me caused by stress...and vice versa.
