Donny was one the best tracks in the world. in the top 10 anyway. Now it looks like it will be remembered as a building site under East Midland airport.
What a shame.

Im passed caring, if they thought they could raise that kind of cash they should have done it to improve the facilities and kept the MotoGP. now they have lost the lot... Serves the greedy sods right. Maybe they should have held off the work until they had the finances. its too late now to try and save the old track. R.I.P. Donny, what used to be one of the best tracks on the planet. Knowing the way some people think, this may have been the plan all along. Now - just real estate.
3 bedroom semi detached, top of craner curves, facing the runway anyone. or a little bungalow at melbourne place.
Im gutted that it has moved from Donington. Im like you and I dont understand why they started to tear it up. Facilities at it werent great, but the racing was fantastic! Hopefully after a season at Silverstone, F1 will take over and Motogp will return to its British home. I dont know what WSBKs are going to do this year though.
