Would you mind being a person that would carry out capital punishment?

I would mind because of the cases where the conviction was later found to be unsafe. To find out you killed an innocent person would be bad.

The second thing to consider for me would be which crimes attract the death penalty. If there were crimes on the list that I personally did not agree with such a sever penalty for, then again that would be a problem for me....Show more

I couldn't and wouldn't.

It takes a certain type of person to do that. Not just anyone could kill another human being even if the person you killed was 100% guilty of a serious crime.

Thats why a lot of soldiers suffer badly from stress, suicidal thoughts, depression, etc after they have fought in a war zone. If you have killed another person (even the enemy) you have to live with the fact that you have taken another persons life. And a lot of people find it difficult to move on.....Show more
