Anyone a flower aficionado and can tell me what kind of flower this is?

This just randomly came up where some lillies were planted by the previous owner. It is a beautiful red and looks like a pine cone.

I looked up pictures of the spiral cone ginger and the red hot poker, and it doesn't appear to be either one of those. It never opened up. I wish i could post a picture of it.

If the flower looks like a pine cone and the leaves are rather long, the plant is probably a spiral cone ginger.

Could be Etlingera elatoir, or commonly known as Torch Ginger.

Possibly a Globe Amaranth in red.
