You should also try SSuite Office for a free office suite.

Their software also don't need to run on Java or .NET, like so many open source office suites, so it makes their software very small and efficient.

You may try these links:

Use Open Office instead, it's a free open source software and your current work won't be a problem for it.
You can get it here http://www.openoffice.org/
Many extensions are available here, it's amazing what you can do with it really - http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/
And you can read a bit about it on this old article I dug up for you here - http://www.techsoup.org/learningcenter/software/page4765.cfm

Good luck with the classes and ignore JIM, he seems to be under the impression that if some thing's free then it's illegal and that all torrents are illegal too, educate yourself man! Calling the Bit Torrent protocol illegal because it can be used for something illegal is like just weird, most things that exist in this world could be labeled that way if we really thought about it.

Why should it be free for you when everybody else buys it either online or in the store?
