Are there any international graduate schools recognized in the US?

I am looking at potentially getting an advanced degree in another country other than the US. Are there any schools outside of the US that are recognized for being quality schools? Would the degree mean something in the US?

Yes, there are plenty of good graduate schools in any developed country, and some less developed countries. But you probably will pay higher fees and may have not have the same access tofunding you would have in the US. While many countries admit students, especially at the graduate level, for the duration of their studies, you will have to abide by the host country's immigration regulations; If you want to work there, you will have to apply for permission, and you may not get it (except, perhaps, for certain on campus employment).

You may want to consider attending grad school in the US and working as a post-doc (etc) overseas afterwards.

If you plan on training in a field which requires some form of certification in the US, then you will need to be sure the foreign school will be recognized by the relevant agency which gives the certification.

Webster University has a lot of international campuses. They are both accredited in the country that they are located in and the US. They have one in Vienna, Austria. I know that, because I lived there.
