I'm getting married in a year and a half (good Lord willing :) and still have not decided on a location. My family and I are from Indiana; my fiance and his family reside in Connecticut. I am torn because I do love CT, and would like to convenience his family. On the other hand although my mom will not say it, she would be hurt if I had the wedding so far from home. I've tried a pros and cons list, such a joke! :) I would appreciate any thoughts, and thanks for your time!

My boyfriend and I have the same problem.
His family is from FL (among other states) and mine is from NJ. We are currently living in GA. We are beginning to plan our wedding and decided on NJ because most of my family lives there and his is a little more spread out.
One of the reasons we choose NJ is because I wanted the pastor to the church I was attending to be the one to marry me. I am also a member of the church and I enjoy being a part of that community.
You need to decide what is right for you and your fiance. It doesn't matter what anyone else wants. It's about YOU and HIM!
Split the distance: give a little and take a little! Forget the distance: have a small, destination wedding! Hawaii, Italy, Spain, Cancun, wherever!
Go where your heart is! Or where your home is at least. Really, it'll be a lot easier for you to plan a wedding where you are currently living because you'll be able to visit venues, taste cakes, and talk to the priest one-on-one!
