Torn between Can You Feel The Love Tonight - Elton John and Warmness On The Soul - Avenged Sevenfold.
I really like them both. Warmness on the Soul is "our song" but we think Can You Feel the Love Tonight would be a little less shocking to the older relatives. Opinions?

Go with "your song". Its your wedding and its special. So it may not be the BEST choice for the elderly but it will mean something to them that you two danced to such a special song for the both of you. Im sure they will be ok with ONE not-for-the-elderly song. Hope I helped!

I think the "Can you feel the love Tonight" will make anyone who has kids think of the Lion King. I would rather laugh inside hearing it at a wedding because I have heard it over a million times in my life thus far for sure! Now, the Warmness of the Soul one is YOUR song - so who cares what anybody thinks? "Can you feel the Love Tonight" is kind of old and overplayed don't you think? Plus, for some reason I can never take Elton John totally seriously when he sings. He's just too comical. I always get the impression that he is a very very good entertainer - but not necessarily really believing what he sings of. If that makes sense, not that he's insincere but he's not really real to me. When I hear him sing, I laugh inside - it could be the most serious occasion in the world and I'd laugh if he were entertaining. How is Warmness of the Soul shocking? It seems like a great and REAL song by a real person and if it illustrates you that is all that counts. The lyrics are amazing for a wedding. There's nothing shocking about it unless you are a devout Catholic monk or a full fledged SDA - but either would be more shocked by Elton John for sure! Hahaha! Congratulations!

can you feel the love tonight is definitely more first dance material..and more respectable. but if it would be more special to have the avenged sevenfold song..GO FOR IT :P i listened to both btw
