Why do we drink tablets instead of dissolving them into water and drinking the solution?

Solution/Suspensions
- enhanced taste (maybe good or bad)
- usually immediate release
- good for people who can't swallow tablets (pediatric/geriatric)
- shorter expiration date

Tablets
- minimal taste (usually good)
- can have extended release (Once-A-Day dosing regimen)
- cheap to make
- better storage stability

By drink do you mean why we swallow them? I think its because they are bitter as hell and if you drank a bitter solution you might throw it up right away....Show more
