what essay question should I choose?

I'm a second year politics and international relations student. For the past six months I was supposed to be working on a 6,000 word essay on a topic of my choice. After researching a few options that didn't work out, and after much procrastination, it is now two weeks before the deadline and I haven't even thought of a question.

I think it would be sensible for me to do a question on something I know a little on, and in which there is a lot of material on, so I've been looking for a decent essay question on some aspect of the Israel/Palestine conflict/ situation up to and including the 1967 war.

I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with any question, I'd like to do it either on zionism/panarabism, 1948 or 1967, the British mandate period or maybe on some regional aspect to the situation in the pre 1967 period, but I'm not limiting myself to these topics.

I'd really appreciate any further ideas for the question, or suggestions for the question itself.

Thanks very much.

I'll provide the same answer I gave to another similar question. here are some ideas:

1) Legality or illegality of Israeli settlements in the West Bank
2) Old City of Jerusalem: to whom it belongs
3) The Right of Return to Palestine/Israel: Palestinian and Israeli perspective
4) The Nakba (Ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948)
5) Two-state or One-state: what is the best solution
6) Zionism & Nazism: similarities and differences

I'm now not definite what AVID is, however perhaps you must prefer an ancient-timer. Someone who retired decades in the past. Here are a few recommendations: Connie Mack: one of the most finest managers ever. Managed the A's for approximately 50 years. Jim Bunning: wasn't formally a chief while he performed, however he did throw a ultimate sport and make the Hall of Fame. After he retired, he formally grew to become a chief: he used to be elected to the US Senate. His finest declare to reputation is that he is mentioned plenty of fairly bizarre and quite offensive matters seeing that then, generally for the period of crusade parties. Casey Stengel: one other of the all time exceptional managers. Kennesaw Mountain Landis: the one baseball commissioner named after a Civil War struggle. He helped rescue the game after the Black Sox World Series scandal. ***Oops. I hadn't learn the aspect wherein you desired a present individual... good then, how approximately Bud Selig? Like him or now not, he's the chief of MLB proper now.
