Culturally speaking: Why does Canada have such a diversity in interracial couples while the US doesn't?

So I am in Canada right now (on my laptop), sure most people may stick within their own race but my god, in Toronto I have seen:

1. Asian guy - Black girl
2. Hispanic guy - Asian girl
3. Indian guy - Asian girl
4. Indian guy - Latina
5. Black guy - Indian girl
6. Black guy - Asian girl
7. Indian guy - Black girl
8. Middle Eastern guy - Latina
9. Middle Eastern guy - Black girl
10. Asian guy - Latina
11. Asian guy - Indian girl
12. Indian guy - Asian girl

I have been here for the past 2 weeks on vacation. I have seen more variations in interracial couples here in 2 weeks than I have seen living in the US my whole life. Funny thing? People here accept it like it is the norm, nobody cares. My Korean friend living in California tells me he gets picked on daily by White, Black and Hispanic guys because currently he is dating a Black girl. A person who is in the hotel room next to mines is a Middle Eastern guy and his girlfriend is Brazilian, and people act like its normal.

Now of course interracial dating happens in the US but other than Black guy - White girl, White guy - Asian girl, Black guy - Latina, White guy - Latina, and basically anything - White person, most interracial couples just don't happen in America. Like I have not seen a Middle Eastern guy - Black girl or Latina couple, never seen Hispanic guy - Asian girl, Asian guy - Indian girl, Indian guy - Asian girl, Black guy - Indian girl or Asian guy - Latina couple before.

I went to Los Angeles and most interracial couples I saw were White and Asian or White and Hispanic.

What makes Canada so different?

You're judging this based on certain parts of the country, because I'm willing to bet you haven't seen all of Canada and the USA. Your argument isn't valid.

In the US there is more fear associated with it, what society might think. An Asian guy or Indian guy (most of who are academically oriented) may not date a Black girl or Latina because they feel that they may be "downgrading" themselves in society. Also, lets be straight, I don't know about Black guys but I know Hispanic guys do this a lot. When they see a Middle Eastern, Asian or Indian guy with one of their girls, they throw such a fit that a lot of them would start getting offended and cracking race jokes, Mexicans (mostly the Americanized ones from the Western part of the US) throw these fits most often. Out of fear most people either stick within their own race or date the majority race which is more often than not, White people.

Another problem is Hollywood, it is so racist that it gives negative stereotypes to anyone that isn't a White liberal, even White conservatives get treated like crap from Hollywood when in general they are good people. So lets say a Hispanic girl decides to fall for an Asian guy, result? Small ding ding jokes, dog eating jokes, communist jokes, and nerd jokes flying around left to right.

I believe that the US is a great country (best in the world in my opinion) but just like any other nation, we have some things to improve on, though not as much but certainly some things that we can improve on indeed.

Because even though America is the self confessed (melting pot) it actually in true fact the land of the bigots. Am I the only person who notices most of the racial hatred spouted on the internet comes from America. It's not just Canada mate, same here in the UK nobody cares about interracial dating, that's because people outside the US are not race obsessed. Most people in other countries have moved on.

Sorry if I sound anti-American that's just the way I see it. America has such a racist history, and it still seems to be affecting them to this very day.

Maybe, being an Asian of Indian ethnicity, you'd be much happier in Canada and you should move there.
