That was in the movie adaptation of "Logan's Run", released in 1976.
And while I hesitate to see a remake because Hollywood has done plenty of them, I don't really see where today's special effects could add that much more to the original.
The original was pretty solid and faithful to the book by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson.
