I'm 10 weeks pregnant and I'm having a hard time getting my boyfriend to clean out the litter box?
I don't ask anything of him in terms of house work other than taking out the trash and cooking every one in a while. I tell him it's bad for me and the baby and he still takes his sweet time. Instead of doing it everyday he waits until like 3 days... Sometimes I can't even go in there <being my noise is so sensitive>. It honestly hurts my feelings and he acts like a selfish spoiled brat when I bring it up!! We have been together for 6 years and he has never acted this way...please help

My hubby cleans the litter box once a week! I don't think he sees anything wrong with that though. Just try talking to him. Or get rid of the cat.
If he isn't usually like this, I'd say he is probably still unsure about how he feels about being a father, and maybe even a little resentful. At your next appointment, have your doctor tell him that pregnant women are NOT to change kitty litter, and that it can seriously harm the baby. You can even print some info off the net for him to see. I hope, for you and your baby's sake, that he grows up soon and stops being so selfish and lazy.
Tell him to stop being such a prick and just to clean the cat box everyday like you ask him to. You're carrying his child and will have to go through back pain, nausea, mood swings for the next 9 months. The least he can do is clean the litter box.
Wow what a baby he is being!! After 3 days a cat box can get pretty nasty...I would not blame yoy for not wanting to go in the rooom..I wouldn't even really call it safe because you are prwgnant.
If he doesn't stop being dumb soon you can buy a mask like when people paint(not sure what they call them) but just wear it when you clean the kitty box out and you'll be fine.
I am sorry he is being dumb, congrats on your baby though!!
When I was pregnant I had to clean up after the dog because HE wouldn't do it. Get a dust mask and that should help a little if you do have to clean it. Try yelling at him a bit, you're entitled to get a little crazy right now. If you want to threaten to get rid of the cat then do that but be prepared he may jump on the idea. Or make him pay to have it kept at the kennel. There's nothing like a little expense to make a man see reason. Anyway congratulations on your little one. Take care of yourself and good luck.
