Moto2: Faster and then stop?

When the Moto2 class was in the pipeline it was said the HRC prepped engines were going to approx 150bhp, however this year the engines are only 'breathed' on to 125bhp.

Why?

I'm thinking that they could not run them at full chat due to in later years they would have nowhere to go.
Dunlop will (as always) make better rubber and the CC's will always make the chassis's better.

I guess when the racing gets to standard, they will tune the engines more, say 10 bhp per year?

Another quick question, is the Moto3 class going to have a one make engine rule ?

What are your thoughts race fans on the Moto2 engine tune situation ?

[ 125bhp that's not very much, but the rules say that improvements are allowed so long as the principles of cost cutting are observed..seems that very slow progress will be made over the years on that front...
the Moto3 class from what i know will be multi-engined, so may be a better model for racing than the Moto2 class..i guess we will have to give it moe time.......<^><....

I"m not sure what happened to the more powerful engines they were promising, perhaps it has something to do with the reliability? I'm not really a fan of the Moto2 class, fun races, but spec racing sucks IMO.

Honda are claiming the reduced power is a reliability issue.
I bet there are a few teams wishing they had entered 250s. before it became a full four stroke event.
Im with Cadalora on the Multi engine Moto3. single cylinder 250 fourstroke I think. all that could change yet.
Will they allow mixed bikes to run next year ?
