I had the same problem. I always ended up going to it because it was so easy and at the time it tasted good to me. I learned to plan my meals ahead. If you have a plan to eat something else it is easier to stay away from the junk. After I started preparing more meals myself and eating real food again the fast food would taste also less appealing as time went on. Now I struggle whenever I go to a fast food place to find something that even sounds edible to me because my taste buds have out grown that processed bs. Good luck quit while you still can because it is like the equivalent to being addicted to a drug.

You know what, I had the same problem, only with SUGAR! I didn't even know I really had a problem because I am skinny. I only realized the problem when I had the most atrocious abcessed tooth. I thought that I would die, and as a result of house guests, and complications, it took more than two weeks before I could have it properly fixed. Seriously, it was bad. Anyway, during all of that time of being sick, and by the way, a very bad tooth feels sugar as pain, I couldn't eat any sugar. After the tooth was fixed, I still couldn't eat any sugar because of the remembered pain. After a few weeks of not having it, the sweet/junky foods tasted bad. In fact they tasted toxic. I think it would be the same for fast food. If you can make a goal of not eating any fast food for 2 weeks, then plan to have one of your big baddies, you may find that you have lost your taste for them. Good luck, I hope it doesn't take incredible pain for you to find your way out (at least you know about it now). :)

They say it takes 21 days to create a new habit. "Real" food may not taste so good to you since you have been eating all of that food that has a lot of chemicals in it. However, if you will try, soon your taste buds will adjust. Also, you will feel so much better when you eat better. True, it takes more planning... but it is so worth the effort. Good luck!

Pack a lunch.....its healthier and cheaper! Thats what I do! If you do eat fast food make better menu choices or restaurants. Grilled v. Fried? ChickFila v. McDonalds? Fruit v. Fries? Water v. Coke?

take a snack with you to eat afterward, like a slim fast shake (very filling and yummy), veggies, or trail mix. Drink tons of water during the day too!!

experienced a similar addiction...its hard, it taste great. watch "supersize me" for starters, really puts things into perspective. bottom line is its unhealthy and you control your body. say no, have some self discipline. youre also saving a ton of money by not eating there. treat yourself every once and a while

Prepare a meal for yourself before school, so that when you get home you have something already waiting for you and you won't have to stop at a store.

buy a cook book, and learn to make your own meals.
