Info On Septum Piercings, Please?

Well, I already have my lobes x3, forward helix, tongue web, nostril, and belly button pierced, but I'm thinking about getting a septum. Just a small CBB, nothing too dramatic!

Anyway, can anyone tell me their past experiences, healing times, how to take care of it, etc?

Thanks a lot <3

Obviously you are pretty experience in piercings, so I would be concerned about the pain. You're obviously set for that. I had a pretty awful experience getting mine done. The septum is defined as the flesh spot between your nostrils beneath the cartilage that's there. As it turns out, I didn't have that; my cartilage went all the way down. So they had to pierce through that. The first time it was crooked so she had to do it again. I was terrified before having it done because I hear horror stories about having it done, but it wasn't so bad at all. I had a pretty long healing time (several months) but I think some of that is due to my strange situation. I was recommended to wash it with a saline solution several times a day. After it all, I love my piercing. And I hope that you love your's also. Good luck!

well i've had my septum done for just over year now, and it has to be my favourite piercing. I love how I can flip it up or down as I please. I also found it only took a couple weeks to heal and the actual piercing itself wasn't too painful as they pierce the thinnest bit of the nostril. I think you only need to clean it daily for a week or two with a cleaning solution the piercer should give you.The only annoying thing is that it makes blowing your nose a bit of a nuisance especially as I have a nostril piercing too.
