How do Hollywood production studios fit more than than standard 4.7 GB of data on a DVD.?

I understand they use various forms of encryption like CSS and ARCOS, but that does not explain how sometimes i see 6.5 GB of data on a single layer production DVD. How do they do it.

They use Dual-Layer DVDs. Almost every single DVD nowadays is Dual-layer in order to fit all of the info on there. You can't tell by looking at the disc or watching the movie, but it might say it somewhere on the box (I doubt it though). Sometimes, if it's an old reissue (I know Criterion does this) they'll explain how the film was restored and they might mention it was pressed onto a dual-layer DVD.

If you find an .iso online it will often be compressed to fit onto a 4.7 gb disc.

So do not purchase or watch their product.anybody who's prompted via a film is an fool they're for leisure now not a mandate on learn how to are living your existence. yet another lie is that existence imitates artwork Wrong artwork is an imitation of truly existence existence comes earlier than artwork as for films i nonetheless revel in a well guide in which i create the characters in my Imagination i don't want a film to dictate what my brain can assume for itself Those that may be mind washed are the men and women from which dictators draw their following and such a lot grow to be cowards and losers eventually
