I'm looking for an American crew cab pickup truck with low miles, need it to be durable , reliable, and long lasting. looking to spend around 20,000 to $25,000. More on the 20 side. I want to keep it for a long time, would a silverado be the best, also I am starting a family soon so need room for carseats, looking for the front bench option too, any help would be great thanks.
Wow, "veteran" sure has an agenda. I think this is the 20th anti-import post I've seen.
Since you are looking for an American built truck I think we can dispense with the anti-import rhetoric here. I would recommend shopping for the best deal you could find on any of the three major domestic brands. Test drive a few of each to get a feel for what you like about each. There are benefits and drawbacks to each brand so it depends on what your needs are as to which will be preferable to you.
Be aware that most who would give you advice will be "Chevy, Ford, Dodge men" and will have already formed their own opinion as to which vehicle suits their needs best. Make your own choice and know that all vehicles have problems. Do a carfax check prior to purchase on any used vehicle and it is a very good idea to have a mechanic you trust look the vehicle over prior to purchase as well. You don't want to buy a truck for a good price only to pay later. A mechanic can also tell you what expenses to expect in the near future. Good luck!
(PS. I'm also a war veteran and own an Acura and a GMC)
Doesn't matter what you get. all american trucks made in american are reliable. far more reliable than those imported **** from the japs like the tundra or the tacoma and titan. An american made truck will last a million miles if you take care of. just go test drive one and you'll how american made reigns supreme over the rice crapping rust buckets from japan.
