What is the best reliable OLDER PickUp Truck?

I would go for a Toyota w/4 cylinder or a f-100-250 Ford w/300 in-line 6. Both are capable of well over 200,000 miles.

It depends on what you mean by Older. If you mean early 90's I know a few people with Ford Trucks from 1988-1992 that still run well as they pass 15 years or older. At that time period I would compare Chevy to Ford and call their truck line basically even. Now if you mean somethng more along the lines of 1998 or sooner I would have to say Ford, Chevy AND Toyota. Toyota's have a tendency to be durable and reliable, but I don't have enough experience with them to compare them to the 15 years of a Ford. I've never been a Honda or Dodge fan, and I can't tell you why that is, so Im no help with them. But I'd suggest Ford, Chevy or Toyota in that order.

How old?

Older Domestics (60s-80s) are very reliable and easy to get parts for, mid 80s-90s Toyotas with the four cylinder motor have a good track record.

I personally have had several GM trucks, and a couple of Fords, and as long as they were properly maintained, had very little if any problems.

Well, I don't know about the others, but my husband has a 1982 Ford F-250 pickup.. straight six.. and it has almost 200,000 miles on it and is still running great! On the other hand, I have a 3-year old Taurus which is a piece of junk!!!!
