What is the answer to this problem?PLZ ANSWER!!!!?
Okay I need help with this 7th grade math problem.There it is: 200 divided by [11 + 3(4 + 3 to the 2nd power)]. Please answer I can't figure it out my brother said it was 4 but I don't know.Please explain for me too I really don't get it.Thanks!

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. This is the first thing that you should think of when doing problems like this. It is the order of operations. P = parentheses E= exponents M = multiply D = divide A = add and S = subtract. When you look at this equation, you should instantly notice there are 2 brackets and 2 parentheses. Brackets are always before parentheses. So first you do everything inside the bracket, but wait, there are two parentheses inside the bracket, this means we should do whatever is in the parentheses first. Lets look inside the parentheses, hey look, there is a power, that is next in the order of operations. 3 to the 2nd power is 9. Lets see what we have so far 200/ [ 11+3(4+9)]. Since 4+9 is still in a parentheses we do that which is 200/ [ 11+3(13)]. Inside the bracket we multiply 13x3. 200/ [ 11+39]. Almost there. There are still brackets so we take 11+39. 200/[50]. Since we have nothing left in the bracket we can now divide. 200/50= 4. Hope this helps!

You can't combine the 4 and 3^2 right away. Do the exponent first to get 4+9, which gives you: 200 / [11 + 3(4 + 3^2)] 200 / [11 + 3(4 + 9)] 200 / [11 + 3(13)]
