Seaworld Orlando - Shamu show.. Have they started the show back up since the unfortunate accident?
We are in Orlando for vacation and wanted to go to seaworld.. If the show has not started back up.. What else is there to do for the inflated price at that park

I'm with Indy as usual... :) The Shamu show isn't that high on my list of things to do at Sea World. I prefer the exhibits where you can look at the animals instead of watching them perform. The manatee, stingray, penguin, and dolphin exhibits are incredible. I do enjoy a couple of the shows. They have a couple of incredible roller coasters and some great family rides.
The prices are inflated when compared to what? The local carnival? Keeping thousands of animals isn't cheap. I think Sea World is one of the better deals in Orlando.
the shamu "believe" show started back up just 3 days after the trainer was killed. as far as i know the trainers are still not allowed in the tank with the whales at least not during the shows but the whales preform their tricks as they always have.
there are plenty of other shows and attractions other than the famed shamu show. to be honest thats not even the main reason i go there so obviously there are other aspects that attract me such as touching the dolphins, and the pets ahoy show, and the Seymour and clyde show, and the couple of rides they have. to view all of the attractions just visit the seaworld orlando website: http://www.seaworld.com/orlando/
Its a very nice park and the Shamu show is currently running, the trainers just aren't in the water with the killer whales. There are many shows to see, as well as fabulous exhibits. There is also rides that are tons of fun.
And these aren't inflated prices, its a typical central florida admission price.
I agree with Indiana Jones & GeezGuys. There are many other nice things to do in Sea World besides the 'Believe' show with Shamu. We just came back from Orlando & went to Sea World 3 times. We went to the 'Believe' show once. The trainers do not go in with the whales anymore. If you ask me...I don't think they ever should have, just like people shouldn't have shows with tigers either. It's not natural to play around with big animals like that.
