with walgreens is there a difference in quality between matte and glossy photos?

everytime i order pics now it asks me if i want true digital photos or my normal photos. true digital= 4 x 5.3 and my photos= 4 x 6....i always choose the true digital and they only come in matte apparently which i hate but i would really like the whole photo. ever since i got matte it seems like the quality is kinda bad and almost grainy. idk if this was with glossy too and i just didnt notice before or whats going on.

Glossy paper shows vivid colors a little better, but it's so shiny that it's really hard to display without proper museum lighting. It also fingerprints really badly. Matte paper doesn't fingerprint as bad and isn't as shiny. I use matte for 99% of the stuff I print.

Matte is "flat finish," Gloss is shiny.
