What do you see as the difference between 'education,' 'knowledge' & 'wisdom'?

Education is the act of learning, knowledge is what is gained in that process of learning.

In this world they are together a process that continues thru out life.

True wisdom is beyond the sum of all knowledge & comes from the Spirit.

Education is good, because it teaches you how to learn, how to discipline your mind. Knowledge for a Christian is knowing the word, knowing your God, His nature, His will, His outlook on things. Wisdom is looking at things from God's perspective and putting them into action.

Knowledge is great, but too much of it can puff you up if you don't counteract it with fruit of the Spirit. Ever know a person who's very knowledgeable, but has no temperance and no love? Their knowledge is almost useless in the long run.

But wisdom? You find that and your soul shall live, because when you find wisdom, you find the way God Himself looks at a situation.

Proverbs 3:

By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations,

by understanding he set the heavens in place;

by his knowledge the watery depths were divided,

and the clouds let drop the dew.

Education is what you are taught or learn from others, knowledge are all of the things you have learned whether on your own or taught by someone and believe to be true, while wisdom is how you practically apply that knowledge.

The way I heard it put best is that if you are outside and feel water hitting you in the head and look around to see water pouring from the clouds, that your intelligence will tell you it is raining and your wisdom will tell you to go inside if you don't want to be wet.

Education is what you get in school.

Knowledge is the realization of things, and wisdom is the understanding of knowledge.

If you're an educated person then it means that you have read and studied tons of different works and books. You are familiar with diverse fields. Like you know a lot of facts on history and sciences.

If you are wise then you had a hard life (not necessary) which taught you a great lesson. For example you don't pursue just money. You don't envy other people's wealth or something else. You know what is right and how to act right. A great examples of a sage are Confucius and Buddha who lived there life pondering and teaching other people. To me wisdom is adjacent to philosophy and church. You can often meet wise people who are priests or other religion servants

I might be wrong but this is a guess. Obviously education is "GAINING KNOWELEDGE" and knowledge is "KNOWING STUFF" But Wisdom is "HAVING COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE ON CERTAIN THINGS", since wisdom doesn't mean knowing good but to me it's like knowing the more positive path to take and sharing that with someone of less understanding. Since technically there is no "GOOD OR WRONG" there's just actions with positive effects and negative effects and knowledge and wisdom are like knowing them both, only in knowledge you can have small or big knowing of it but in Wisdom it's like knowing everything about it and every consequence that comes with it so a wise teacher would gradually help a student lean toward a path that they think is right even though the student would still be choosing their own path. (and obviously you wouldn't be wise on something if it's never happened to you)

Knowledge has to do with what things you know. I remember hearing once that there is a difference between 'informational knowledge' (textbook facts, etc.) and 'experiential knowledge' (drawing from past life experiences, etc). Education has to do with the process of gaining knowledge (i.e. reading books, etc.). The word education comes from two Latin words -> ex (from) + ducere (to lead). This combinations of roots implies that education 'leads' someone from an incorrect way of interpreting something. Wisdom has to do with life skills such as making the right choices, etc.

Wisdom is practical understanding, the seeing of how things directly & (moreso) indirectly relate and recognition of the effects, after effects, & side effects thereof. This deeper understanding is rarely achieved without direct experience or long exposure: intimate experience produces richer comprehension of subtleties & concealed truths.

Knowledge is generally awareness of more concrete data & relationships, though study can produce depth, and possibly lead to wisdom.

Education is the interplay of teaching & learning, used to transfer knowledge, but less effective at ensuring the acquisition of wisdom.

So: Education hopefully conveys Knowledge, and Knowledge may eventually lead to Wisdom.

Education is when you're aware of all the answers that books have told you. Knowledge is having insight of situations and knowing how to react to them. But wisdom, Wisdom is going through something and making it through something. Wisdom is knowing the scientific answer to certain situations, but also knowing the truth to it as well. With wisdom, you're lived it, you've done it. .

Knowledge: knowing what your boss did wrong.

Wisdom: not pointing it out.

Education: Learning the above through experience.

Education is the act of gaining knowledge, and applying that knowledge in the right circumstance creates wisdom in that person.
