What are some Engagement Photo Session Themes?

I am trying to think of some themes to use for engagement photo session for example; I have seen car breaking down on side of the road with suitcases and all; for better and for worse where the couple has a for better picture (happy) and a for worse (sad/ mad); I also seen vintage retro like on the beach in old vintage bathing suits, etc...

Can anyone else think of any other themes that they have seen or participated in? What props did you use?

Schedule the photo session at a place that has special meaning for your relationship. The others are gimmicks of the kind seen at photstops at Lake George, for example. If you met at the post office (someone I know did) then have the photos taken there. Otherwise, there is no connection between the shots and reality. Now, if you met because your car broke down and he stopped to help you, then the first idea is appropriate.

We went to an apple orchard, it we a lot of fun...we did some portraits and candid shots of him picking me an apple and lifting me up to grab an apple that was high...etc. This was in Oct. so really it depends of the time of year and weather. Pick a setting, and go from there your pictures will be sure to turn out great.

You don't need a theme....just a nice background.....The people, not the place are what are important. Go to a park, a public garden, or museum. Remember..less is better....too busy of a background and you'll lose the people in the picture.
