How much do you spend on your child(ren) for Christmas?

Just curious about what others are spending. How may children do you have and their age(s). Do you spend the same amount on each child?

1 daughter, 4 years old. I spend $50 for 3 gifts, a book and her stocking. I'll probably increase it as she grows older, but for now that's a good limit for me.

When we have a second, I won't necessarily spend the same on them at the same time because the reason I would spend more on an older child is because they are interested in more expensive things and are better able to take care of them. If I have a 6 year gap between children, I won't spend on an infant what I'd spend on an 6 year old, but I'll more or less spend on #2 what I spent on #1 at the same age.

I do alot of bargain shopping for my kids (ebay specifically). I generally spend about $100-$150 each (ages 16, 4, and 2). Only downfall is that my daughter's birthday is a week and a half after Christmas, so I have to get those too.

I try to make sure that the number is about the same too, even if the dollars aren't exact (except for the oldest). The 16 year old (step daughter) usually gets a couple of gift cards since she is SO picky or tells us she doesn't want anything (LIAR!!!)

I have 4 children
An 8 year old 6 year old a 19 month old and a 1 year old the 19 month we adopted

I spend £100 on each and that is it children get far to much now a days and showering them with $100s of dollars worth of gifts as i can see with some answers is pointless and a waste of money

My children get things that they will play with or a specific gift they actually want i am not tight with money just don't see the point is spending $100s

I have three children.
5, 3 and 18 months.
I've spent £150 rough on each of them. Though we decided to spend a little more on our youngest because she's not been very well but she's been a brave little trooper through the whole thing and not cried. My 5 year old does actually get more than the other two because her father always shows up at Christmas and spoils her with lots of gifts, he must spend what my husband and I spent on all three just on her.

I'm currently pregnant with my second and he will be here any day now. We also have a 22 month old baby boy. The way my husband and I are doing is to buy one thing a year that is big that is for both of them. Like this year, we bought a trampoline with a net around it. Our toddler jumps all the time and is going to love it, and since the other is just so little, it's for him too, but it will be a while before he gets to use it. But the "big" present we'll get every year will cost maybe 300 or so, then we'll get each of them one big personal gift around 50-80 and then the rest of the presents will be small presents like the 10-25 mark. So all in all, we'll be spending maybe 500 on them for Christmas. We start our Christmas shopping in October to help spread out the cost a little bit.
