Music in grocery stores?

Every store I shop in, including my drug store and grocery store are all playing canned musak. It is so loud and so annoying. Can't we shop it peace?

Remember when people complained about elevator music? It's much worse now and no one is saying anything.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks friends.

Music in retail establishments is intended to act as a diversion for customers, as well as employees. The staff is there for 4 to 8 hours and needs that diversion to keep them alert and interested. It doesn't have to be your favorite kind of music, but it is just a background fill. If it is too loud for you, by all means, mention it to a manager. They will take your request seriously and without bias. Your opinion is much more important than any employee's, trust me!

We play music in our bookstore because we also sell music and movies. Our intention is to prompt interest in the customer to ask us about the music playing, which is always new, and show them the CD for purchase.

Yea, I agree. Musak is soo, soo, annoying. It grates most of the people I know. Why they play it is a mystery. If I call customer service and get placed on hold, its that god-awful musak.
Perhaps call the store manager and complain.

it is from a save cd....(we play the comparable track repeatedly). And it is controlled from the money place of work. i don't be conscious of if this is a cd or tape or what besides the undeniable fact that it's not the radio. i be conscious of that because of fact we performed the comparable track repeatedly and likewise Christmas track. from time to time whilst the boss isn't in human beings will positioned their own track on haha!
