Has grocery store music ever made you angry?
I was just at the fresh & easy, and this crappy rap song came over the speakers that sampled the hell out of "I'm Blue." It took me years to get that song out of my head the first time. Years!

No, but I believe the odd mixes of music contribute to the poor condition of the produce.
If you want to soothe your apparently rankled sensibilities, try listening to the calming sounds of the fake thunderstorms in the produce section when it "rains" on the lettuce.

Indeed it has, Bear - but only later when I discovered the sinister truth behind the music. You see, I was shopping one day at my local store when the old Dana hit "All Kinds Of Everything" came on over the tannoy. However, instead of the romantic things normally listed by Dana as reminding her of her beloved, the store manager had cunningly substituted a list of items available for sale in the store. Thus subliminally manipulated, I bought everything mentioned in the song. It was only when I got home and unpacked some mens socks and 6 tubes of haemorrhoid cream that I realised what had happened.

I'm surprised they play rap music. Our supermarket plays stuff from the 50's to the 80's and I love it. Sometimes I just want to dance and sing. So I do.

Isn't that the same store with those two ladies working the self serve checkout stands, that refer to you as, "That crazy mountain man with the moonshiner beard"?
Just take your 12-pk of Pabst and latest issue of Jugs Magazine and go. Nobody wants any trouble, okay?

Not really. Sound really carries at ours and there are always kids screaming when I'm shopping. That pretty much drowns the music out.
