Does Joe Miller want to supress the voter's choice to win an election?

Is he desperate or what? He's trying to throw out any vote he can against Murkowski and deny voter intent. Can we say 'sore loser'?

Hey Tea Partiers: YOU'RE WRONG! it's not the law, read it and weep

Straight from the Alaska Elections website (pay close attention to # 10):

8. Write-in votes are not invalidated by writing in the name of the candidate whose name is printed on the ballot unless the election board determines, on the basis of other evidence, that the ballot was marked for the purpose of identifying the ballot.

9. Write-in votes are not invalidated if the voter fails to mark the square provided if in the judges’ opinion the voter intended to vote for the person whose name was written in as a write-in vote.

10. No ballot shall be rejected if the election board can determine the person for whom the voter intended to vote and the office intended to be chosen by the voter.

MBush40: You tea partiers are all twits, I have the law posted here and still can't figure it out! Ya'll are hopeless trash, the law in Alaska is by voter intent READ IT!!! Can you read?!?

Sock Monkey: Did you read the law? Of course not. It doesn't matter what you think about her, the law says whomever a write in vote goes for (or intended to) gets that vote. If she's a failed candidate then why was she beating Joe Miller in the polls, looks like he's a failed republican nutjob.

This is why it's not surprising that he's lost to a write in candidate.

He is just wanting the state to count write in votes the same way they always did before.
That law is the same in Oregon. If a name is misspelled, it doesn't count. Murkowski tried very hard, she even had the state change the law so people could request a list that demonstrated how to spell the name.

So what you're saying is that all of the write in votes should go to Murkowski, a candidate that couldn't win her own party primary, failed as an independent candidate, and had to go and do a write in since no one wanted her ??

The same one who INHERITED her daddies position ??

Seems to me she should be responsible for all of the costs incurred since she wanted to play the write in game.

Given McCain's wellbeing on the line, his determination for vp is somewhat significant for that would recommend that guy or woman might shop on as president if something have been to ensue to him. there's a reliable probability that we'd desire to have Palin being president interior the not too distant destiny. Is usa prepared to believe a somewhat experienced guy or woman who's purely had 2 years of working a low populated state?..... i don't think of so.... it would be ludicrous to think of democratic women persons will change their vote to the Republican using intercourse of its vp. Palin is basically too suitable-wing minded and he or she opposes liberals too strongly for democratic women persons to desire to easily vote for her. McCain made an somewhat unwise determination and persons that help him could could think of two times NOW if he's particularly the terrific determination because his win might additionally recommend Palin might desire to be president.

Voter intent? You check one, or write a name in correctly. That's the law. So why does Joe Miller want to follow the law is what you're really asking isn't it?
