birth control question?

My daughter started the birth control two days ago, the doctor had her take two on Tuesday, two on Wednesday, and one today, this is her first time on the pill. Well, we are thinking that she could have come down with the flu, but she has been throwing up, and getting dizzy, which I read is a common side effect of taking the pill for the first time, but today, I gave her her one pill, and then she got sick, I even gave it to her with food.

My question is, is the pill even staying in her body when she throws up, and since she got sick this morning, should I wait until tomorrow for her to take a pill. When she first took her two pills, it was hours before she got sick, so the pills were already in her system. She is not sexually active, she is only on them to reduce the size of a cyst on her ovaries and to make her periods lighter.

My daughter was taking them first thing in the morning, and I called my mom and she said have her take them at night right after dinner with a full stomach, it says take with food, and my daughter does not have a lot to eat for breakfast in the morning, her main "chow time" is dinner, so taking them after dinner, we will try.

if she throws up almost straight away chances are she is throwing up most of the drugs from the pill casuing there to be little or non at all affect from it... on the box like ever prescribed medication there is a warning labe says "discontinue use if experience side affects" as ur daughter is throwing up thats aside affect... she should go back to her doctor and ask for a difffernet form of pill with different drug cells in it.. shes probably alergic to one of the drugs that are in the pill she is currently using

I would go with the IUD if I were you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and have recently had it removed to try for baby number 2. The IUD was painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week check up after my daughter was born. It is safe to use if you are nursing your newborn, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do not have to worry about pills or anything else. The only think I didn't know when I got the Mirena is that is can take awhile for your menstral cycles to return to normal after having the IUD removed. I had mine removed in December 2008, and in the past couple months my cycles have finally returned to normal, other than that, I HIGHLY recommend the IUD!
