I am in the Medical Field
I NEVER recommend the pill because it is too easy to forget
The Shot is given in the Dr's Office so you should have NO issues forgetting an appointment.. There is the Patch but you have to remember to put it on and then there is the IUC which is inserted and lasts for about 5 years and can be taken out if you want another baby
I had my tubes tied and REGRET it. Plus there are a lot of complications further down the road once you have a tubal including scar tissue.
Best Wishes

I would go with the IUD if I were you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and have recently had it removed to try for baby number 2. The IUD was painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week check up after my daughter was born. It is safe to use if you are nursing your newborn, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do not have to worry about pills or anything else. The only think I didn't know when I got the Mirena is that is can take awhile for your menstral cycles to return to normal after having the IUD removed. I had mine removed in December 2008, and in the past couple months my cycles have finally returned to normal, other than that, I HIGHLY recommend the IUD!

Diaphram...condoms...the mirena implant. I would vote for the latter if you are not planning on having children for five more years. You can get it taken out if you do decide a few years down the road that you want another, but generally it is good for five years. They implant it in your uterus. I have heard nothing but good things about it. But if you want more kids sooner than five years, or think you might, I would go with the diaphram. You have to remember to put it in, but otherwise it is a good option for birth control. I am almost seven months and have kinda thought about a bit. But I want another in about two years and have no idea what to use. I got pregnant this time on the pill...so that is a no-go.

I'm 7 months pregnant and I plan on using implanon once I give birth. It's a small "stick like" device that is inserted under the skin in your arm. It lasts for 3 years, and you can have it removed whenever you like. From what I hear the IUD's that they implant in your uterus can make it really hard to conceive again, so this being my first I want to make sure that I will eventually be able to have another. Also on implanon you can breastfeed.

I was on birth control for 15 yrs - I'm horrible at taking meds but I'll tell you what - if you are dead set on taking it and you want no more babies at that point and time you will see how dedicated you are to taking the pill. Of course there are other methods of BC but I chose them. I hate shots! Hope this helps.

What sounds like a good idea for you is an IUD. The marina is something to look into. I think this is what i'm going to do because i got pregnant on the pill and i don't think i could go back to condoms. lol.

my husbands getting a visectomie but we already agreed no more if we do we are adopting. but thats just us. there are so many different things out now. usually they ask you to have an idea and if not at the 6 week post partum check up they go over all the options with you and talk about whats best for you.

IUD is a good one if you don't want to have to even think about it. There is the patch, if they still even do that. You can get the shot every three months, which wouldn't be bad. Talk to your doctor about all of your concerns.

There are a lot of options out there. I definitely think you need to sit down with your ob/gyn and discuss what will be safest for you, especially if you are breastfeeding.
