First of all this is not a question in form of an attack but i just want to see the opposing sides view on a quote which i take to heart.

I don't know others peoples minds but I for one side with old Ben. We cannot have a Government that is so powerful that it can guarantee your complete safety at all times. To even believe that is possible is a fallacy. All it does is create a myriad of govt. agencies spending billions of dollars for what? We lose more people in Automobile accidents every year than we have ever lost in a terrorist attack. More people die in plane crashes due to malfunction that due to terrorists. More people die of Cancer etc. so why all the fuss at absolute safety when you fly? Look at the added cost, not only to the Govt. but the airlines, local police, lost productivity of Business travelers. It is sure only designed to "Control" the People and create sheep.
The cost to America in Dollars, time and Freedom is staggering.

I have always enjoyed this remark from Poor Richard. The result of 9/11 was the USA PATRIOT Act and is an excellent example of purchasing a little temporary safety at the cost of true safety and liberty. Prior to 9/11 no less than 100 people tried to get the government interested in a group of foreigners that were behaving poorly compared to the norm. The Government would not listen at any level from local police to FBI. Since then neither the Government under the powers of the Patriot Act nor TSA with their extensive screening has ever caught a terrorist. The terrorists since have all been found out by the common people who then notified the government. The million dollars per airport being spent for machines that produce nude pics of people, otherwise the groping, can be replaced by trained sniffing dogs that are 100% accurate for a few thousand dollars each. Poor Richard was right, we do not deserve the treatment our Legislative Body has purchased for us. PS: Recent news has shown the FBI to thwart terrorist plots in a few states, but the media never checked the public records of their work. In every case, these were teenagers that were convinced by the FBI to become terrorist and once turning 18, as an adult for adult court, then they ordered the teens to follow the FBI's plan to blow something up, and therefore were easy to catch. These are the only people the Government has caught--the ones they trained and set up for a fall.

The direction we are headed in this Country and others does not bode well for future generations,that much is certain.Because we are forgetting every lesson history ever taught us,and letting our leaders lead us right into a nice set of chains.

We should also secure our southern border and remove all people in this country illegally.
Oh, and repeal the 14th and 16th Ammendments to the Constitution.
