Facebook granted unauthorized access to Y! account?

There was a chat between me and an unknown person on Y! chat long time ago. It was just few lines although. Today when I logged on to FB, here it shows me that person's name under "People You May Know". FB has been continuously asking me to provide access to my email account saying "Friend Finder" or something like that. But I've never accepted it because I don't want to connect with my Y! contacts on FB. I suspect Facebook have unauthorizedly accessed my contacts in my Y! account. What is going on?

I'm 100% sure we don't have friends in common. Maybe its just coincident?

My guess is that the person you chatted with kept your addy, and turned his address book over to FB. I am on FB, but I am extremely careful about who I am friends with. I never say anything that I wouldn't want the whole world to see. There have been too many people who have gotten into a lot of trouble over some casual remark on FB.
