Exponential graph question?
A graph has the formula y=ab^x.
The curve passes through the points (0.5,1) and (2,8)
The point (-0.5,k) lies on the curve.
Find the value of k.

Whenever you multiply by a negative exponent, the answer will be the reciprocal of the positive exponent. When x= 0.5, y= 1, so when x(the exponent) is -.5, y=1 still. So k=1
