What did young Arabs got from ''freedom'' and ''democratic changes''? To be refugees on Lampedusa island?

People who supported them to overthrow their rulers welcomed them in rubber gloves and masks over their faces. They don`t want to touch them or smell them. Couldn`t they invest 1500$ to start some private bussines in their own countries (now democratic and free), instead they gave it to a boatman to go somewhere else? It seems to me they had much better life while Gadafi was on power.

It seems to me we took sides in a civil war... and you are right, we should NOT have done that. Also, by many reports we are helping a band of rebels that is sometimes less than 1,000 people... not a strong majority if you ask me.

I also get your point that, they were NOT refugees before this. They felt comfortable enough to stay in their homeland until this UN and NATO intervention.

Right. Because there were no refugee boats from Libya crossing the Mediterranean before this. Pull the other one.

<BHADALH - that's "banging head against desk and laughing hysterically"> Do you say the same thing about Cubans heading for Key West?

I will agree, however, that Italy is every bit as callous and stupid in dealing with its migrant population as the United States is.

because they are looking for work; since Gaddafi put all the money in his pocket; so what your saying doesnt make sense......
