My husband laughed until he blacked out. What happened?
My husband laughed so hard he blacked out.
He is 48, 50lbs overweight (all in his belly), taking amolopidine (?) for high blood pressure. He hadn't eaten in 7 hours, and worked hard physically all day (as always). I'm quite sure he has sleep apnea, although we can't afford the sleep test. He had asthma as a kid, and for the last few years every cold he gets goes straight to his chest.
He was sitting in a lawn chair, laughing hard. His face turned dark red, and his chin fell to his chest. He was unresponsive to our neighbors for several seconds. They called my name. When I got to him, and called his name, he snapped out of it Then his pulse was 90. His skin was slightly ashen around his eyes, but he wasn't sweaty or clammy. He seems fine now. He walked through the garden several times, took shower, ate dinner. It has been about 2 hours.
Anyone know what this could be? Should I take him to the hospital? With a $5000 deductable, I would have to have a good reason to get him to go. He agreed to go to dr tmrw. Is that soon enough?
