UK/USA divide when it comes to tea and coffee drinking?

is it true that (generally) Americans prefer coffee to tea and the British the opposite? Say what your beverage of choice is (given the choice between tea and coffee) and what your nationality is

People in the UK like me usually take their tea a lot stronger & with milk, I usually start the day with coffee with skimmed milk, them have tea later on. I think people in the US prefer their tea & coffee a little weaker in strength.

I'm American and I prefer tea over coffee. In fact, I'm drinking tea right now. I believe the tea drinking is traditional to England while the media promotes the hell out of coffee...so I wouldn't judge an entire country on what is presumed.

Canadian. I drink both. Prefer coffee. But where an X British colony. We still have that royal bag Windsor on our money. So being Canadian and a reputation for nice ! I appease the old lady with a spot of tea. Cheers ! " A".

I'd say it's generally true that Americans drink more coffee and British drink more tea.

I'm British. I drink more coffee than tea but it depends a lot on time of day and what it's served with. I like coffee with my breakfast but you can't beat a mug of tea with your fish & chips.
